Free tool to simulate fluid dynamics.

Although not immediately obvious from the name, EasyCFD is a software application for the numerical simulation in 2D of fluid dynamics, on a Cartesian coordinate system.

Via EasyCFD you can do simulations using all types of fluids: rolling or turbulent fluids, isothermic or non-isothermic fluids, and also analyze stable states and transitory fluids.

EasyCFD pays special attention to the user interface, via which you can draw the geometry of the analyzed fluids, and control all the parameters in detail of your fluids system, make experiments, etc. You can do conduction in solids and conjugate heat transfer, multicomponent fluid flow, the transport of passive scalars (eg. smoke), the geometry import from DXF or point data files, etc.

This EasyCFD program is a simple software, mainly oriented for didactic or educational purposes, but it may become a valuable tool for a first analysis in practical situations. It is also very easy to download, install and then use, through its friendly and intuitive user interface. You don't need any technical experience at all to get the most out of it.
